Overview

  • Dr. Muhlhofer graduated from Heidelberg Medical School, Germany in 2009. After one year of postgraduate research on molecular mechanisms of neuronal apoptosis in status epilepticus at the Institute for Neurophysiology at Heidelberg University, he joined the Neurology Residency Program at the University of Rochester Medical Center in Rochester, NY. He graduated in 2010 and went on to do a two year fellowship in clinical neurophysiology, epilepsy and epilepsy surgery at the University of California at San Francisco (UCSF) before he joined the Epilepsy Division at the UAB Department of Neurology as an Assistant Professor in July 2016.
