Dr. Williams received his medical degree from the University of Mississippi Medical Center in Jackson, MS. He completed his residency in internal medicine at the University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB). Upon finishing residency, he was a chief medical resident of the UAB Internal Medicine Residency Program for one year before joining the Division of General Internal Medicine at UAB in 2013. Dr. Williams currently directs the Internal Medicine Clerkship within the School of Medicine and serves as a hospitalist at the Birmingham Veterans Affairs Medical Center (BVAMC). He also works with students and residents as an attending physician on inpatient medicine wards and clinics at both UAB hospital and the BVAMC.
