Overview

  • Dr. Christina Wilson is an Assistant Professor at the University of Alabama at Birmingham. Dr. Wilson has over 10 years experience in oncology and women's health. As an oncology and women’s health researcher, she studies body image and sexual health symptoms as a result of the diagnosis and treatment of gynecologic cancers. The two main foci in her area of research focus on the assessment and treatment of body image and sexual health concerns. In addition to her research focus, she is a nurse practitioner in the Division of Gynecologic Oncology, where she provides holistic care for individuals with sexual health issues and a history or current diagnosis of breast or gynecologic cancer. She has a wide array of experience in nursing education, teaching students at both the graduate and undergraduate level.
