• In August 2015, Dr. Vincent Mortellaro joined the pediatric surgery faculty at Children’s of Alabama. A native of Florida, he received his undergraduate degree from the University of Miami and began his medical education at the University of Miami School of Medicine, graduating in 2005. He completed his surgical residency in general surgery at the University of Florida in 2010, along with postdoctoral research fellowships in 2010 - 2013 and a pediatric surgery fellowship in 2015. Dr. Mortellaro joined UAB in division of pediatric surgery in Children’s of Alabama. Dr. Mortellaro is a specialist in minimally invasive surgery.

    Dr. Mortellaro’s clinical interests include congenital colorectal and neonatal defects.
