Overview

  • I am an Assistant Professor in the Department of Health Behavior in the School of Public Health (SOPH) at the University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB). I am also the Project Director for the core research project of UAB SOPH's Center for the Study of Community Heath, a CDC-funded Prevention Research Center.
  • Research Overview

  • My overarching research goal is to foster a successful research career as an independent behavior health investigator. Specifically, my research interest include understanding sexual health behavior and outcomes, program planning, child outcomes, and first-time parenting, HIV/STI among African American adolescents and emerging adults.
