Dr. Stigler joined the pulmonary, allergy, and critical care division faculty in 2012 following his training in Boston at Massachusetts General Hospital and in the Harvard Pulmonary and Critical Care Fellowship. He also served as Chief Medical Resident for the MGH Internal Medicine Program from 2010 to 2011. Dr. Stigler currently holds the title of Assistant Professor of Medicine. His clinical work is focused in the Medical Intensive Care Unit, though he also attends on the pulmonary service and as a Tinsley Harrison Scholar on the residency's general medical service. His administrative responsibilities include serving as the medical director of the Medical Intensive Care Unit and working closely with the Quality Improvement and Patient Safety infrastructure at UAB.
