Overview

  • Sheri Jenkins, Professor of Obstetrics and Gynecology, board-certified in Maternal-Fetal Medicine, has been on faculty at UAB for 11 years. She serves primarily as a clinician-educator, but has done research in obstetrical ultrasound as well. Her clinical duties predominantly involve performing and interpreting fetal ultrasound. She also performs prenatal care and deliveries for women with high-risk pregnancies. She is the Director of Obstetrical Ultrasound for the Ob/Gyn Department. Her educational role involves teaching obstetrical ultrasound and overseeing the prenatal and delivery care provided by our Ob/Gyn residents and Maternal–Fetal Medicine fellows. She gives didactic lectures regarding common pregnancy complications and fetal anomalies and their management.
