Dr. Melanie Gibbons Hallman has provided prehospital and emergency services for more than 35 years. She has been an active leader within the Emergency Nurses Association since 1988, serving in multiple leadership positions at state and local levels; and as a reviewer for the JEN. Dr. Hallman provides patient care as an Acute Care NP in the emergency department setting; and as a Family NP providing access to medically underserved populations. Educating compassionate, quality BSN and advanced practice nursing professionals is her primary goal.
Teaching/Clinical: Family Nurse Practitioner program instructor, BSN clinical instructor. Research Interests: Emergency Services (pre-hospital and emergency department trauma care and prevention, disaster management, NP/MD partnerships, multidiciplinary team dynamics); Occupational Health (fire and first-responder safety and education); Access to Care for Underserved Populations (Local, National, International)
