• Dr. Shah came to UAB in August 2019 as an Assistant Professor of Medicine in the Division of Cardiovascular Disease. He is a native of Alabama and completed his medical degree from the University of South Alabama in Mobile, AL in 2011. Dr. Shah completed an Internal Medicine Residency at Yale-New Haven Hospital in 2014 followed by a Cardiology fellowship in 2017 at Medical College of Georgia at Augusta University in Augusta, GA. During his cardiology fellowship, he served as the Glenn Garrison Chief Cardiology Fellow. Following this, he completed a Cardiac Electrophysiology Fellowship in 2019 at The University of Alabama at Birmingham in Birmingham, AL.

    His clinical interests include all aspect of invasive and non-invasive clinical cardiac electrophysiology including arrhythmias (atrial arrhythmias including atrial fibrillation, supraventricular tachyarrhythmias, and ventricular arrhythmias), cardiac implantable devices (pacemakers, implantable cardioverter defibrillators, and left atrial occlusion devices), and device extractions. His research interests include quality improvement and patient outcomes.
