  • The aim of this book is to provide a comprehensive, regularly updated source of information on population programmes with coverage of their policies, objectives, characteristics, budgets, methods, performance trends and reasons for shifts in performance. This volume provides information on demographic and social setting, family planning programmes, and child survival programmes. The special features of the volume are that it presents a historical series of family planning information, includes a set of child survival tables and provides time trends not previously available.
