ϱ0ϱ0π- formation in the reaction pn → 3π-2π+ near 2190 MeV c.m. energy

  • The s-channel behavior of intermediate states in the reaction pn → 3π-2π+ is examined for a possible resonant structure at a center of mass energy of 2190 MeV, the existence of which has been suggested in previous experiments. Within errors, no significant structure is observed in pn → ρ{variant}0ρ{variant}0π-. It is argued by comparison that a real structure in pp → ρ{variant}0ρ{variant}0π0 appears unlikely, although this cannot be viewed as being a conclusive result of this experiment. © 1976.
