Undergraduates completed the Fundamental Interpersonal Relations Orientation-Behavior (FIRO-B) test under each of 3 instructional sets: "normal condition" (honest responses), "fake good," and "fake bad." The profiles were then given to clinical psychologists for independent blind interpretations. Results reveal that the FIRO-B is susceptible to faking.
