Overview

  • Dr. Xu is currently an associate professor in the department of MISQ at University of Alabama at Birmingham. Dr. Nuo Xu obtained his PhD in Industrial Engineering from University of Cincinnati (JUN 2007), his MS in Industrial Engineering also from University of Cincinnati (Dec 2003), and his BS in Material Engineering from Shanghai Jiao-Tong University China (AUG 1997).

    Research Overview

  • Dr. Xu's research interests include Measures of statistical dependence, Feature Selection, and Mathematical modeling in Complex Systems. His research activities have covered a wide range of domains of applications, from financial risk management, to engineering, and to bioinformatics and medical applications.
