Research Overview

  • My scholarship emphasizes the roles of ethnicity, race, and gender in media and politics, which includes topics such as transnational political engagement (i.e., Asian American’s political participation in homeland/host nations), international communication (i.e., the diffusion of fake news in Trade War), and digital and mobile news technology (i.e., the impact of WeChat on Chinese American’s political transformation).
