Marena Molay Messina, CPA, is a Visiting Instructor of Accounting in the Department of Accounting and Finance in the Collat School of Business. She teaches principles and income taxation classes in face-to-face, flipped, and online formats. She is currently a Ph.D. candidate in Business Administration with a concentration in Accounting at Kennesaw State University. Before beginning her doctoral studies, Ms. Messina started her career in public accounting at a large, regional accounting firm, Carr, Riggs, and Ingram, LLC. She obtained her undergraduate degree from the University of Alabama and her Master of Accounting (MAc) from the University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB). Ms. Messina serves as Co-Advisor for Beta Alpha Psi and the Janet Herring Mentorship Program.
