Matthew Mullen, MD, is Assistant Professor of Medicine in the Division of Clinical Immunology and Rheumatology. He is a clinician-educator and works in outpatient clinics as well as inpatient services at University Hospital. He has clinical interests in spondyloarthritis and crystalline arthritis.
Dr. Mullen earned his M.D. from University of South Florida in 2011. He completed his residency in Internal Medicine in 2014 at UAB Hospital and subsequently trained as a Rheumatology fellow at UAB. He was the first Rheumatologist to join the UAB Multispecialty Clinic in Montgomery, AL in 2016, where he practiced until 2019, at which point he joined the faculty at UAB Main Campus in May of 2019.
