Dr. Nichols is an experienced nurse educator, with over 25 years of teaching experience across BSN, MSN and doctoral programs. She has extensive experience with undergraduate/prelicensure students, including pediatric nursing didactic/clinical, senior preceptorship, pathophysiology, pharmacology, dosage calculation, legal and ethical issues, nursing skills, and health assessment. She is actively engaged with the Accelerated Masters in Nursing Pathway for second degree students and with the RN-BSN Pathway. Additionally, Dr. Nichols has conducted study abroad immersion experiences for nursing students in La Gonave, Haiti and Bangkok/Chiang Mai, Thailand. Dr. Nichols has taught graduate nursing education courses, including: program evaluation, ethics and legal issues, curriculum development, and nurse educator practicum. She leads a Freshman Honors Seminar in the Fall that explores ethical issues in women's health.
