Larry R. Hearld, Ph.D. is an Associate Professor in the Department of Health Services Administration at the University of Alabama at Birmingham. He received his doctorate from the University of Michigan’s School of Public Health with an emphasis in Organizational Studies. His research encompasses two focal areas: 1) the development and sustainability of interorganizational and interpersonal relationships and the effects of these relationships on market-, organization-, and patient-level outcomes and 2) the adoption and implementation of health care innovations. This research has utilized a range of methodological approaches, including mixed methods and longitudinal techniques. He currently teaches courses in research methods, organizational behavior, and dissemination and implementation science.
