Dr. Carpenter is a Birmingham native and have been practicing occupational therapy for 13 years. She received her Master of Science in Occupational Therapy degree from The University of South Alabama in 2007 and her post-professional Doctor of Occupational Therapy degree from Quinnipiac University in 2018. She has experience working in skilled nursing, outpatient orthopedics, and acute care; however, her specialty lies with pediatric care, especially feeding, eating, and swallowing. In pediatrics, she has worked in early intervention, school system services, and outpatient pediatrics. She also holds the American Occupational Therapy Association’s (AOTA) specialty certification for feeding, eating, and swallowing (SCFES).
