Overview

Dr. Leon is a Professor of Medicine in the UAB Division of Pulmonary, Allergy, and Critical Care Medicine. He is also the UAB School of Medicine Associate Dean of Undergraduate Medical Education. Dr. Leon began his medical training at Baylor College of Medicine, where he earned his MD. Following this training, Dr. Leon completed his internship, residency, and pulmonary & critical care fellowship at UAB, where he was chief fellow. Dr. Leon soon became a division faculty member, beginning work as an instructor in 2002.
