Overview

  • I am an epidemiologist with broad interests in infectious disease prevention, screening and diagnostics, and medication adherence. I have extensive experience in design and implementation of studies using electronic health records, randomized trials, and large-scale surveys. My overall goal is to conduct high quality research that improves clinical care and public health among underserved populations in diverse settings.

    Research Overview

  • I have particular interest and experience in (a) vaccine effectiveness and safety studies and vaccine confidence, and (b) evaluating strategies for malaria prevention, screening and diagnostics, and treatment.
    I also lead or contribute to industry and federally-funded studies on COVID-19, latent tuberculosis, pre-exposure prophylaxis for HIV prevention, sexually transmitted infections, and urinary tract infections.
