Overview

  • Dr. Marsh is a passionate Family Medicine advocate who is board certified in Family Medicine with a CAQ in Geriatric Medicine. A native Texan, she attended the University of Virginia (UVA) where she earned a B.A. in Religious Studies and Spanish. She then returned to San Antonio for medical school at UTHSCSA. She completed a Family Medicine residency at UNC-Chapel Hill and a Geriatrics fellowship at Duke University. While the geriatric population has been a long-standing love for her, she truly enjoys caring for the full-scope of Family Medicine patients – from pregnant women to children, adolescents, adults, and older adults. She is comfortable providing a broad range of preventive services and managing acute and chronic diseases as well as performing various office-based procedures – including skin biopsies, joint injections, and IUD and Nexplanon placement, among others. She is also fluent in Spanish.
Dr. Marsh credits her mentors and training opportunities in Chapel Hill for fueling her fire to both practice and teach the “gospel” of Family Medicine, which ultimately brought her to UAB in April 2019. She is excited to see patients at the UAB Highlands Family Medicine Clinic and to work with UAB medical students and UAB/Cahaba Family Medicine residents – to help train future primary care physicians to provide excellent care for the population of Alabama and beyond.
When she is not at work, her heart and hands are full enjoying time with her husband, two young children, friends, church community, and the occasional good book.
