Overview

  • Jim Byrd is an Assistant Professor of Accounting and Finance in the Collat School of Business. He holds a PhD in Administration - Healthcare from the University of Alabama at Birmingham. Prior to joining UAB, Jim had 30 years of accounting experience including both public and corporate. His scholarly interests include financial accounting, corporate governance, and healthcare finance. Recently my interest has been piqued by using text mining approaches to analyze accounting research to develop in-depth meta-analyses and categorical topic insights.
