Overview

  • Houman Sotoudeh, M.D. earned his medical degree from Tehran University of Medical Sciences, Tehran, Iran. He completed his Radiology residency at Tehran University of Medical Science as well. He then completed a Neuroradiology, a Nuclear Radiology and a Pediatric Radiology Fellowship at Mallinckrodt Institute of Radiology, Washington University in ST Louis.

    Dr. Sotoudeh joined the faculty at ARAK University of Medical Sciences, Arak, Iran and also served as a Neuroradiologist at Zwanger-Pesiri Radiology located in Long Island, New York before joining the UAB Radiology Department in 2017.

    Dr. Sotoudeh's clinical expertise are in Neuroradiology, Nuclear Radiology, and Pediatric Radiology/Neuroradiology. His research interests are in Advance Imaging in Neuroradiology (fMRI, DTI, CT/MR perfusion, MRS), PETMR application and new tracers in neuroradiology and PETMR application in oncology.
