Research Overview

  • My area of research interest is in informatics includes the following areas: How nurses communicate data, information, and knowledge at the change of shift hand-off; How patient information is presented – the linguistics or language used to communicate the hand-off message; The impact of human-computer interaction and human factors on the nurses' cognitive workload and cognitive overload. The goal of improving communication and the ability to provide nurses with accessible readable real-time patient data to improve patient outcomes.
