Overview

  • Elizabeth Wylie is an ABPTS Board Certified Neurologic Clinical Specialist in Physical Therapy with over 12 years of experience in the neurologic rehabilitation setting. She received her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Mercer University and her Doctorate of Physical Therapy from North Georgia College and State University. Her passion is in providing acute rehabilitation service for individuals after traumatic brain injury, stroke and spinal cord injury as well as other neurologic conditions. Dr. Wylie serves patients across the lifespan in several of UAB’s specialty clinics including STEP and the ALS Clinic. Dr. Wylie has experience in teaching adult neurologic rehabilitation interventions, clinical reasoning, and general patient care skills in her role as Assistant Professor in the Department of Physical Therapy at UAB. Dr. Wylie also co-founded the first Neurological Physical Therapy Residency in Alabama and at UAB. She currently serves as Co-Director of this residency program. She is a member of the Alabama Physical Therapy Association, the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA), and the APTA Academy of Neurologic Physical Therapy.
