Dr. Spangler joined the faculty as an Assistant Professor in 2016. Her undergraduate education was at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. She then attended the University of Pittsburgh for medical school and there obtained a MS in clinical research with a focus on Outcomes and Effectiveness Research. She went on to train in vascular surgery at Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center in the integrated vascular surgery residency.
Dr. Spangler serves as a peer reviewer for Annals of Surgery and Annals of Vascular Surgery.
Her research interests include outcomes and effectiveness evaluation of carotid and aortic disease treatments, imaging surveillance, as well as quality improvement through interventions on modifiable perioperative factors.
