Overview

  • Dr. Patton is a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner with experience in internal medicine, gastroenterology, and international medicine. She is an Instructor and the Project Faculty Liaison on a NEPQR grant entitled "Building a Resilient Primary Care Registered Nurse Workforce for Chronic Disease Prevention and Control in Alabama." She has a passion for providing medical care and health education to underserved populations both at home and abroad, and currently has a volunteer faculty practice providing primary care to vulnerable populations in Birmingham and Cullman. She served as an Adjunct Didactic Instructor in the MSN program at UAB for three years prior to starting her full-time faculty role in December 2018.
