Erin Blanchard, PhD, MSN, RN, CHSE, CMQ is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Health Services Administration. Erin teaches in the Simulation and Healthcare Quality and Safety programs. She graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Mississippi University for Women in 2009 and earned from UAB both a Master of Science in Nursing and Health Systems Administration (2016) and a PhD in Health Education/Health Promotion (2021). She has previous experience in critical care and perioperative nursing and is a TeamSTEPPS Master Trainer. Additionally, Erin is a Certified Healthcare Simulation Educator with expertise in simulation design and implementation, debriefing, assessment, and standardized patient education and is Certified in Medical Quality by the American Board of Medical Quality.
In addition to working with the Department of Health Services Administration, Erin works with UAB’s Department of Anesthesiology and Perioperative Medicine, where she is a simulation educator.
