Daniel A. Sanabria, CFA, has over 13 years of experience in capital markets and asset management combining high-level market knowledge with investment experience. He currently serves as a credentialed course instructor for the University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB), where he teaches a variety of Investments and Finance courses, and is member of the Board of Directors of the CFA Society of Alabama.
Daniel previously served as Director of Trading and Operations for a registered Commodities Trading Advisory firm (CTA), where he executed the trading of proprietary futures and futures options strategies, managed the CTA’s operations, and supported the implementation of the firm’s compliance program in coordination with the head of compliance.
He also served as a consultant to Peak Soil Indexes, a developer of farmland price indexes, focusing on index replication modelling and product development.
Prior to the above he served as a product development manager for DRI where he managed a portfolio of 14 US and international patent applications in different asset classes including, equity derivatives, credit default swaps, property derivatives, fixed income and energy.
Daniel is a Charter Financial Analyst (CFA), holds a BA in Economics, Analysis and Policy from the University of Alabama at Birmingham and a Master of Business Administration degree (M.B.A.) from UAB. During UAB’s December 2015 Graduation, he served as the Graduate Commencement Speaker. He also has held FINRA Series 3 and 30 licenses.
