Dr. Douglas Dickinson received his M.S. degree in Biophysics and his M.D. degree from Pennsylvania State University. He completed his Internal Medicine Residency and Gastroenterology Fellowship at the University of Alabama in Birmingham. Dr. Dickinson served the Birmingham community in private group gastroenterology practice after establishing Birmingham Gastroenterology Associates between 1977 through 2012. Since 2013 he has been active in the Gastroenterology Fellowship training program at the University of Alabama in Birmingham.
