Dr. Chanda received his BSc from University of Calcutta, his MSc from Visva Bharati University, and his PhD from Banaras Hindu University. He completed postdoctoral training at the Morehouse School of Medicine and the University of Alabama at Birmingham. Dr. Chanda also previously held appointments as lecturer at Darjeeling Government College and as research associate at UAB. He has published on cancer gene therapy using recombinant adeno-associated virus vectors and gene modified bone marrow-derived mesenchymal stem cells, and cellular adhesion regulators during cancer metastasis.
