Overview

  • Dr. Mark H. Deierhoi joined the UAB Department of Surgery in 1986. He has been instrumental in the evolution of transplantation surgery at UAB. He currently serves in the renal transplant program. He also sees patients at the VA Hospital.

    Dr. Deierhoi has served widely in his field, most notable with the Southeastern Organ Procurement Foundation assuming numerous committee and leadership roles with the foundation including presiding in 2003.

    A consistently funded researcher, Dr. Deierhoi has published over 85 journal manuscripts as well as book chapters. He has made presentations to conferences regionally, nationally and internationally.
