Dr. Mitchell's primary teaching focus is within the pre-licensure program, having taught primarily in foundational skills, adult health, and pharmacology classes. In October 2018, Dr. Michell became BSN Program Director for Senior Level Students. She enjoys the rewards and challenges associated with teaching pre-licensure students and is especially interested in mentoring these students as they enter the nursing profession.
Dr. Mitchell has also taught in the MSN program, Acute Care Nurse Practitioner track, and serves regularly as a DNP Project Chair and committee member.
