Overview

  • Dr. Dasher is a Professor of Medicine at UAB and a physician at UAB Highlands.  He graduated from the University of Georgia with a B. S. in Physics and received his medical degree from the Medical College of Georgia.  He completed his residency at UAB, where he served as Chief Medical Resident.  Following his residency, Dr. Dasher also completed a fellowship at UAB under the guidance of Dr. Basil Hirschowitz.  He re-joined the division in January 2009, and has been involved in establishing GI services at UAB Highlands. Currently, his major focus is developing an endoscopy unit that will efficiently provide OP services with improved methods of determining and measuring quality and outcomes.
