Overview

  • Dr. Caroline Sullivan is a nurse practitioner in the Department of Family and Community at the University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB). She specializes in family medicine and is certified by the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners. Dr. Sullivan strives to deliver the highest quality of care to all patients and focuses on building a personal relationship with each patient.
    She is a member of the Central Alabama Nurse Practitioner Alliance and Sigma Theta Tau, which is a nursing honor society that focuses on global nursing excellence.
    Dr. Sullivan recently finished her Doctorate of Nursing Practice from Samford University, where she conducted research on work-related injuries in the migrant farm-worker population of northeastern Alabama counties. She also developed an educational toolkit to reduce work-related injuries and promote musculoskeletal health in this population.
    Dr. Sullivan is also a nurse educator. She is a current faculty member at Herzing University in the nurse practitioner program, focusing on women’s healthcare across the lifespan. She also instructs a group of nurse practitioner students in their clinical rotations.
    Dr. Sullivan is married and enjoys spending time with family and friends, CrossFit, and traveling.
