Kieran Quinlan retired from UAB's English Department in 2020. His main interest was in 20th century American, Irish, and British authors from a cultural, philosophical, and religious perspective about which he published 4 books and numerous essays. He also wrote several memoir pieces for The Chronicle of Higher Education and other venues. He remains engaged with selected authors and curates a bibliographical profile for one of them with Oxford University Press.
