Overview

  • Shannon Carroll, M.D., joined the faculty of UAB’s Department of Surgery Division of Acute Care Surgery in 2013. In addition to her clinical responsibilities, Dr. Carroll is an ATLS Instructor and active researcher. Her research activities include; operative management of thoracic wall injuries, peptic ulcer prophylaxis, foreign body ingestion of toys, VATS vs. chest tube, FFP-only transfusion and thrombotic events.
