Overview

  • Dr. Budhwani is a Professor in the Florida State University (FSU) College of Nursing and holds adjunct appointments in the UAB School of Public Health Department of Health Policy and Organization and UAB School of Medicine Department of Pediatrics, Division of Adolescent Medicine. In the FSU College of Nursing, Dr. Budhwani leads the Intervention Research and Implementation Science (IRIS) lab. Dr. Budhwani and her team conduct studies to address the causes and consequences of health disparities among stigmatized populations that experience adverse health outcomes in resource-constrained settings. Her research is informed by sociological constructs, guided by human rights frameworks, and adopts a multidimensional view of how to address public health and clinical care inequities.
